This is an unofficial free beach at Misværfjorden south-east of Bodø. The northernmost free beach in the world!
Turn off national road 812 and cross the bridge to the hamlet Støvset at the eastern side of the Misværfjord. Turn south just after the bridge. The beach is located approximately 2 km south of Støvset. You may park directly on the beach. Bus stop at the bridge.
The beach is situated north of the Polar Circle, and hence has midnight sun around mid-summer. Possibilities for camping. Do not expect too much from the temperatures in the water. Sheep are grazing at the beach - beware of possible dirt!
Sandy beach, but not very well suited for small children. Conveniences provided: None. Bring your disposals with you when you leave the beach.
