Norway is a scarsely populated country with lots of fantastic nature: a very long coast line, lots of islands, deep fjords, a plethora of lakes and forests and last but not least mountains.

All this provides plenty opportunities to swim or be in the sun with or without clothes.
If you prefer the nature as nature intended you may choose a free beach, also called nude beach, or you may search out a place of your own where you may be undisturbed.

If you would like to behave naturistic you have the following possibilities:

• Visit on of the three naturist resorts in Norway: Isefjær east of Kristiansand, Sjøhaug close to Moss or Skovly at Halden. If you decide to stay more than two days it is necessary to be or become a member of a naturist club affiliated with INF. You may read more about this in the Scandinavian Naturist Guide.
  
• Visit an official free beach where nude bathing is promoted by the authorities that is normally owning and running the free beach. Alternatively, visit an inofficial free beach that is well established through frequent use for a long time. Free beaches are open to public with no restrictions.
  
• Visit a secluded beach on the coast, at a lake or a river. The laws and regulations give to and everybody else free access on foot, by canoe or on bicycle to the Norwegian nature.
