Public access to the nature in Sweden There are laws and regulations that ensure the public access to the Swedish nature and the possibility to enjoy the nature without any clothes.
We are very fortunate in Sweden regarding nature and access to clean, fresh water. Our laws and regulations allow us free access to this in a way not usual in most other countries. We are also, by law, allowed to take a swim or just lay in the sun without any clothes anywhere as long as we are not behaving provokative in public places.
Organized naturism in Sweden Organized naturism has been around in Sweden since before 1936 when the oldest, still existing Naturist Association was founded.
SNF consists of 20 associations with a total of about 2950 members in almost 1800 households. Amazingly, it does not seem like organized naturism have the appeal to people as it had before and it is hard to attract new and especially young families.
20 Naturist Associations in Sweden The 20 Naturist Associations are very different. Some (8) are reasonably large and have their own naturist terrains or are in control of such. Some The rest of them are mostly smaller and rely very much on winter activities like weekly nude bathing in a municipal indoor pools.
