There are relatively few - i.e. approximately 20 - declared Nude Beaches in Norway. For more information, please select a part of the country in the menu to the left. However, there are next to unlimited possibilities all over the country to take a swim in the nude without being embarrased or emabarrasing anybody.

Basically, it is not explicitly forbidden by Norwegian law to take a swim in the nude or to be naked in the sun in a public place. However, socalled "indecent behaviour" may be prosecuted based on §201 in the Criminal Law:
Anybody that in words or deeds displays sexually offending or other indecent behaviour
a) in a public place,
b) in presence of or faced with somebody without their concent, or
c) in presence of or faced with children under 16 years of age,
are sentenced with fines or with prison up to 1 year. (our translation)

Google Earth is very good tool for showing where the known Nude Beaches are located geographically. You may zoom in and out to determine the level of details you need. You may see all Nude Baeches i Scandinavia on one screen or you may see exactly where the beach is located.

Nude beaches coordinates for your GPS Navigator

The file is a zip.file that contains a csv-fil,an icon (the Nude bathing signt) and a textfile. The. csv-file contains the coordinates of all nude beaches in Finland, Norway and Sweden.
The locations given are normally to the closest car park - not to the beach. 

New free beach in the hearth of Norway

The newly established free beach at Stykkjevika in Fyresdal opens for a lot of interesting round trips in the southern part of Norway. Here you have a couple of suggestions.

Take a ferry to the town Kristiansand in the very south of Norway. Stay some days at the Isefjær Naturist Center. Visit the zoo and amusement park Dyreparken. Then drive to Fyresdal with its free beach in Stykkjevika. Camp at the beach or stay in one of the hotels - Airparc Hotel Fyresdal has discounted room rates for holders of INF-passes. Visit the open air county museum with its old houses and explore the nearby mountains. Ask he Fyresdal Tourist Information Office for details. From Fyresdal, you may either go northeast to Kviteseid and take a boat trip on the famous Telemark Canal, or go northwest via Dalen (interesting hotel) over the mountain range to the famous fjords in the western part of Norway.
