We have in The Scandinavian Naturist Guide collected the information we think is of interest to visiting naturists/tourists and naturists living in Scandinavia. We have made every effort to make the information as detailed, accurate and as up to date as possible. The Scandinavian Naturist Guide provides a wider, more detailed and fresher information source to Scandinavian Naturism than the INF Handbook. If you have further questions, please contact one of the national federations or state your comments in our Guest Book.
If you should miss some information, or find that something is incorrect, please tell the editors of The Scandinavian Naturist Portal. For that purpose, you can use email: Webmaster, the Guest Book or traditional mail addressed to the naturist federation you believe should be responsible.

Welcome as naturist to Scandinavia
The Scandinavian countries are located far to the north, but thanks to the warm Atlantic currents, the climate during the summer is rather pleasant, even for naturists. The northerly location makes the summer days much longer than they are further south. North of Oslo/Stockholm/Helsinki, it will never get really dark around mid summer.
Outside the big cities, the Scandinavian countries are rather scarsely populated. Therefore, there is a lot of almost untouched nature - wide mountain areas, endless forests and a countless number of lakes. The Scandinavian right of public access gives you the opportunity to move around freely in this marvellous nature.
As a naturist, you will probably be most interested in meeting other naturists, and to avoid offending people that do not like nudity. Then you should go to a free beach or to a naturist camping. A free beach is a beach where public regulations or common laws allowes for anybody to be in the sun and in the water without clothes. A naturist camping is a piece of land, often run by a naturist organisation, and where a membership in an association affiliated with the International Naturist Federation is required to get in. In this guide, you will find a complete overview of free beaches, as well as the naturist campings.
